As a family man who has lived in Plymstock, Plymouth all my life, I set up the handyman service Man About The House, as I felt there was a need for assistance for people who may be elderly or, not technically minded or perhaps simply don't have the time to do those DIY things around the home be it flat pack furniture assembly, repairs and emergencies, a spot of painting or something larger like modernising a kitchen.
I am a respected member of the community and hold an IOSH Working Safety Certificate and have been CRB checked to an enhanced level for working with vulnerable adults, children or in public places and have worked in Schools, Hospitals, Emergency Centres, Residential Homes and high security establishments such as M.O.D. Bases and Prisons.
As a member of the UK Guild of Handymen, you can have confidence in knowing that as a handyman, I have met the standards required by this body and have all necessary insurances in place. You can verify my UK Guild of Handymen membership and find out more by clicking on the link below.
There are a number of commercial clients in the Plymouth area who use my handyman service for property and equipment maintenance as well as for some of the items detailed on the services page.
Business can be carried out "on account" or on a "one-off" basis.
I accept payment by cash, internet or bank transfer or by cheque (the first two are preferred as cheques mean I have to take time out of my business working day to visit the bank).
Give me a call to discuss how I may be of help to you.
